This topic in the class helped me to see the reality in a whole different view. It changed my way of seeing things which I thought I was going in right way and made me release that I should have done my interview better.

Different Types of Interviews

Commonly, there are 3 main types of interviews which are behavioral, technical and case. Basically, I had a few months work experience, I started looking for a suitable job, therefore I will be considering behavioral as interviewer asked me to give examples from my past employment of my situations and go through how I behave in those circumstances.

My interview via Telephone

After I applied on Indeed, a few days later a music instrument company approached me looking for people to sell their items outside of their shop through phone call

I made an effort to be courteous when on the call and relocated to a more private place.

I memorized the content of my resume and did some research on the company on Indeed and other social media sites so I knew what I wanted to know.

I sent a WhatsApp message to the recruiter 24 hours after the pre-interview ended, thanking him for his time and formulating a few follow-up questions that I would be happy to address at a suitable date/time for the employer. He then arranged for telephone interview. I had prepared general answers to questions such as setting up mock interviews and ensuring that I was interested in working with them.

Face-to-Face Interview

Next day, I was called to have a face-to-face interview in the store and then next day I went approached the interviewer. I was told to not dress too formal since it’s a music store. The interview went smoothly, finally, he ended with saying to always be myself and open in order to do have a good relationship with him.
